A short note on what this blog is for and how often you'll hear from us.

The Groundwork blog publishes one essay every Saturday morning. The schedule is fixed. The posts are long — usually between 2,000 and 2,500 words. The topic is always one of the four pillars of the Groundwork methodology, or one of the two named series (Coaching or Resilience), or an editorial piece on planning, methodology, or the underlying philosophy of structure over inspiration.

The blog is not promotional. It exists because the Groundwork system has a methodology underneath it that deserves explaining at the depth a 2,000-word essay can provide — depth that doesn't fit on a product page, depth that wouldn't survive being compressed into a social-media post, depth that I think the target reader of Groundwork wants and rarely gets from the planner-and-productivity content market.

What you'll read here

The 36-post editorial calendar runs across about nine months, with content in three categories:

Every post links to the relevant Groundwork products. Some posts link more directly than others. The convention is that the linking is informational rather than promotional — if the post is about weekly reviews, it links to the Weekly Review sheet because someone interested in the methodology might want the artefact. The post doesn't try to convince you to buy. The post tries to explain the methodology clearly enough that the artefact, if you want it, sells itself.

How to subscribe

One email a week, sent Saturday morning around 8am UK time. A short reflection from that week's post, occasional new free tools, no upsell drip. Unsubscribe in one click. The signup form is at the bottom of this page and on every post.

If you'd rather read the blog directly without email, the RSS feed is available. Most modern readers (Feedly, Reeder, Inoreader, NetNewsWire) handle the feed cleanly.

What this blog is not

It is not a place for affiliate-linked product roundups. It is not a place for the latest productivity trend takes. It is not optimised for SEO at the expense of saying useful things. It is not interested in inspiration content. The goal is to write essays that someone reading them in five years would still find useful — which means the content has to be about underlying principles, not current micro-trends.

If that fits your reading preferences, welcome. The free 7-Day Focus Sprint is the entry point into the methodology if you want to try it. The complete Groundwork bundle at £54.99 is the full system. The Groundwork OS at £19.99 is the Notion-only version.

Thank you for reading. See you next Saturday.
